And further west the famous stone village of Skara Brae. In the centre of Kirkwall - The fantastic 12th C St Magnus Cathedral. Deerness Head - Wonderful coastal features including blowholes, a Celtic monastery. Here we can look out for grey and common seals in the bays. Further around this headland we have a memorial to the Covenanters. On the South Isles - Across the famous causeway - The Churchill Barriers - From one small island to the next lie sunken block-ships. Visit the Italian Chapel built by Italian POW during the Second World War The Island of Hoy - The most mountainous island of Orkney and the highest sea-cliffs in Europe. Large colonies of Great and Artic Skuas. Walk to the Old Man of Hoy enjoying the cliff colonies of puffins, fulmars and shags. Isle of Rousay - Offers panoramic walking and great archaeological sites including the Midhowe Cairn, viking settlements and harbours.
The price of the tour. £580.00. The price includes your ferry, 6 nights Dinner, Bed & Breakfast, picnic, transfers to and from Inverness if required. The ferries to the Islands of Hoy and Rousay. Not included in the price, and of course is optional are the entrance fees to Skara Brae, Maes Howe etc…. The Ring of Brodgar and many other sites are free of charge.
